My name is Matthew Taft. I'm a web developer, and have used pecl in the
past for apc cache and xdebug. I was on the site, looking into getting an
account, and it told me to post here first. I don't have any additional
libraries to contribute, but I found what appears to be an error in an XML
info file. It looks like a really easy fix, and thought that if I were a
contributor I could fix this instead of posting a bug report. Basically, I
ran into this problem:
# pecl search apc
Retrieving data...0%....50%Invalid xml downloaded from "
http://pecl.php.net/rest/p/pcsc/info.xml":
XML Error: 'Invalid character'
on line '9'
It looks like the problem might be because someone tried to insert an
invalid character after the word "Windows," (maybe a trademark symbol?) and
XML doesn't like it. This issue is blocking me from searching for any
packages using pecl. If I get an account, would this be the kind of thing
where I could contribute and fix things like this?
Sincereley,
Matthew
