Hello All,
I have just committed some more work on the build/install tracker (http://qa.php.net/build_tracker/).
Also, Hellekin is working on the databases behind the utility. I have committed his rough database structure to CVS. It can be viewed at http://qa.php.net/build_tracker/db.txt
Notable changes to the build tracker include:
Moved rough main form from index.php to main.php
Added a rough welcome page that gives new users a quick introduction to what the build tracker is - experienced users can link to filter.php to skip this.
Added a rough filter page - filter.php
The filter page will:
- provide setup information for the main form
- help reduce the number of spurious reports: if a user choose an option other than 'a successful build/install of php' for choice 2.1, they will be routed a message page that details where they are going and then re-routed to the appropriate section of the php site.
I am going to change questions 3.3 and 3.4 to multiple select fields that list the acceptable choices for each question.
I will need to set the main form up to respond to the various options set in the filter page.
Also added rough functions for simplifying the generation of select boxes (file2select ()) and table rows (generate_row ()).
I will extend these functions substantially, probably grouping them into a class.
Also, I added the ability to add comments to the text files that populate most of the drop-down menus.
As always, comments are welcome and appreciated.
