Status report on Windows installer:
I've just returned from a week's holiday, and am still waiting for my ISP to
deliver all of the 2000+ emails waiting for me!
I've used Wise Install Builder (free download demo version) in conjunction
with some (most unpleasant!) visual basic to build a php installer which
currently installs php, edits php.ini and configures the web server for IIS
and PWS. As I have been typing this email, a carrier has just delivered the
release version of install builder, so I should be able to brew up an exe
that people can test. As far as I am aware, the only remaining jobs are:
Decide what extension dlls are of shippable quality (Input from the QA list
required here!)
Write something which edits the Apache httpd.conf file
Make the installer available to the qa group for testing.
Screenshots of the current state of play are available at

Cheers
