Hi, This is a little off-topic except for the third question, and as php-dev doesn't seem to work for me, I'm posting this here, I'm not looking for patches, just opinions. - Can the sablotron be part of the php package ? I'm wondering if the expat library is used twice. Sabltron uses expat library, then php uses expat again. When linked statically, is it going to be loaded twice in memory ? - Is adding proxy support to sockets/network-related functions feasible ? cURL is already great with proxy support, but I was just wondering... It would be transparent for every function. There was a post about this for PHP3 using a class proxy: http://www.geocrawler.com/archives/3/5/1999/3/0/1364948/There was a discussion about this on the dev list about a month (?) ago.
- Is it possible to modify php.net DHTML code so that Netscape>4+ (i.e. Mozilla) work properly ? I tried saving a www.php.net file with Lynx using IE as user-agent (so that $IE4 is set to 1) then viewing it with Mozilla but it didn't work either. There seems to be some work with Mozilla's DHTML behaviour. If no-one else takes this, I will add it to my to-do list - however, it may take a month or two to get done :)
btw, is it normal that a non-existent page like php.net/foo returns this. Warning: Unable to fork [/local/htdig/bin/htphp.sh "words=sfsd&config=php&exclude=/source&restrict="] in /local/Web/sites/phpweb/error/index.php on line 95 There was an error executing this query. Please try later Fatal error: Call to undefined function: commonfooter() in /local/Web/sites/phpweb/error/index.php on line 99Seems ok now. I will look at adding some error handling if I get around to reworking the html for the site. - Zak
