if this implies that this going to take some time to be fixed, how about introducing a mechanism that allows me to *force* a deep copy (with *all* sub-members) this *cannot* be done in userland, people cannot fix this bug (or unexpected feature regarding your note) in user land, thus a temporary (maybe permanent) force-deep-copy method for "users who know what they are doing" could be suitable andré
