Recently I have been intristed in becoming more active in the PHP QA team!
I would like to build a small application that keeps track of the status,
skill set and platform(s) of each of the QA team members. The application
would be written in PHP (of course) and would be used to generate the
membership list on the QA website, as well as providing a list of currently
available test platforms for testing release candidates, doing smoke builds
etc...
This project should be a nice short job for a few programmers - if anyone
wants to help out with the development, please let me know. Also, I would
like feedback on my plans for the application - please let me know your
comments, questions and suggestions. I want to get the first version of the
application done quickly so that we have a working model to test with -
heavy duty functionality should wait until we have a clear idea of what we
want the application to do.
just a quick note before it is too late
1) it would be nice to use this for (in a simple form) for devs too and 2) even be nicer to have a "active time" field, to see when people are possibly awake (standardized time, weeksdays), capable of responding to mails and possibly capable of doing something (QA, apply patches, create patches) eg.
