Figuring out what to do!

Hello All, So far we have had a lot of good discussion on the function renaming issue. I would like to try and get group consensus on what *exactly* we want to do. Stated simply, I believe that we should provide sensible aliases for all bad function names and that the core/c-like function names should have permanent aliases. In the interest of getting some work done, I agree with Richard's proposal that we should simply start by fixing/aliasing bad function names in the non-core extensions. I think that everyone agrees that this is a good idea. :) Thoughts? --zak
