aliasing proposal (OCI)

Remarks: I don't see why there should be ocinewdescriptor and ocifreedesc (insert underscores as desired). Both should be either desc or descriptor. I vote for descriptor. Generally db: I think we should try and make all the RDBMS extensions as similar as possible. What I mean by this is field should be field and not column, row should be row and not tuple etc. Of course, this is based on the mysql_* functions, IMO they base a suitable model. Also, we should agree on things like whether to promote e. g. oci_field_type_raw as opposed to oci_raw_field_type. This has far-reaching consequences (assuming we will decide to go that far): should we alias e. g. ifx_get_blob to match ibase_blob_get, or the other way around? Remember, once we start aliasing, we don't have to limit ourselves to sprinkling underscores over the function names. I don't have an opinion on this (yet - but I would prefer what would require less changes if we decided to enforce one of the patterns across the language), but ocisavelob could be aliased as oci_lob_save as well (as opposed to oci_save_lob).
