magic_quotes_gpc doesn't seem to be working. I was just testing some old code
with magic_quotes_gpc=On in my php.ini. Submitted data containing quotes does
not arrive in the _REQUEST array with the quotes escaped. I guess that this
would break a lot of older applications - and probably many newer ones too :)
I've double checked with phpinfo that php is using the php.ini file I am
editing, and it indeed shows that magic_quotes_gpc is On, and that quotes in
get and post data are not escaped.
