Hi,
Just tested RC7 found on
http://www.php.net/distributions/php-4.0.5RC7.tar.gz
# First platform.
It builds and runs fine on NetBSD 1.3.3 x86, gcc 2.7.2.2, default make
./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \
--enable-discard-path \
--with-gd=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-mysql \
--enable-bcmath \
--with-dbase \
--with-zlib=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-mcrypt=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--enable-yp \
--with-mhash=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--enable-ftp \
--enable-trans-sid \
--enable-sockets \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-inline-optimization \
--with-jpeg-dir=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-imap=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/lib
Warnings:
php_ini.c: In function `php_init_config':
php_ini.c:188: warning: passing arg 3 of `zend_llist_init' from incompatible

sockets.c: In function `php_if_recvmsg':

sockets.c: In function `php_if_sendmsg':

However, everything runs ok with this build:
# Second platform.
The configure script halts with NetBSD 1.5 x86, egcs 1.1.2, default make.
./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \
--enable-discard-path \
--with-gd \
--with-mysql \
--enable-bcmath \
--with-dbase \
--enable-yp \
--enable-ftp \
--enable-trans-sid \
--enable-sockets \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-inline-optimization
When starting the configure script:
[...]
checking if gcc supports -c -o file.o...
When I hit Ctrl-C:
checking if gcc supports -c -o file.o... ^Crm: conftest.c: Permission denied
rm: conftest/conftest.c: Permission denied
rm: conftest/out: Permission denied
rm: conftest: Directory not empty
config.log:
[...]
ltconfig:829: checking if gcc supports -c -o file.o
ltconfig:830: gcc -c -g -O2 -o
out/conftest2.o -I/usr/pkg/include -DSUPPORT_UTF
8 -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 conftest.c 1>&5
Also the directory listing
www@emeri ~/compil/php-4.0.5RC7>ls -la conftest
total 10
dr-x--x--x 3 www 200 512 Apr 21 10:36 ./
drwx--x--x 16 www 200 1536 Apr 21 10:38 ../
-rw------- 1 www 200 23 Apr 21 10:36 conftest.c
drwx--x--x 2 www 200 512 Apr 21 10:38 out/
www@emeri ~/compil/php-4.0.5RC7>umask
66
It might be my fault on this last setup as it's a new box at school (the
future Web server to replace the old one above NetBSD 1.3.3 :) but I was
wondering if it could be reproduced on other OS/setups.
