Hi QA Team,
I've just posted something for your attention at www.milonic.com/odd
I was playing around with IIS and I was issued with some code in IE from
msn.com. It took me a while to figure out what it was that bugged me so much
about it, but it seems that www.msn.com were trying to use a PHP file on
their IIS servers without PHP installed. QA at msn not quite working at 100%
I think. :)
Anyway, while I'm in write mode I thought I would offer you some assistance.
I recently stumbled accross your QA web site and I spotted the fact that you
are lookng for Mac users with a spare Mac. Well, I've got a Mac that's
running OS X 10 and Apache is installed (ready for PHP) and I'm sure I can
spare you some time if you need it :-)
Here's a little about me:
My names Andy, I currently work for myself from a little office in my home
in Birmingham, UK.
The Systems that you can have full access to for testing are:
Windows 2000 Server running IIS5, PHP4, MySQL, SQL Server.
Linux 7.1 running PHP4.05/Apache/MySQL this is DNS.
Windows 2000 Pro running IIS5, PHP4, MySQL.
Windows NT4 running the same but with IIS4.
Windows 98 running the same but with PWS.
Oh and a Mac running OSX 10 and Apache, it's only used for testing
JavaScript in different browsers so I thought you guys might be able to put
it to good use :)
All machines are owned by myself, are about 2 feet away and are all on my
LAN.
My skill sets are:
Strong: PHP, ASP, Visual Basic, VB Script & HTML
Some C, & some Perl.
Good Apache & Good IIS
Guru: JavaScript
Database: MySQL, SQL Server
I'm very much into testing systems for performance. I recently started
www.databasewatch.com but have had to put it on the back burner for a while
because I didnt want to get sued by the likes of Oracle and Microsoft for
publishing benchmark figures. Perhaps I'll be able to release the figures I
have one day. They are very interesting.
Anyway, thats enough from me.
Kind regards,
Andy.
