Cc'd to php-qa@lists.php.net for reminder.. :) On Tue, 31 Jul 2001, Andy wrote: >I have asked you before, about the definitions of >the status codes on PHP bugs (open, closed, etc.) > I believe I know what most of them are, but >could you please give me a list of them and >they're definition. Explanations for the bug statuses: ---------------------------------- 'Bogus' The report is useless, submitted twice (or more), empty. Generally for reports that are found not to be bugs.. !!! !!!Reports marked as 'Bogus' are deleted from database from time to time. !!! 'Duplicate' Report is about already reported bug. 'Open' Bug report is new or nobody is working on it. 'Closed' Bug is either fixed or there is no bug or user doesn't respond to feedback requests (= they are able to reopen later, 'Bogus' not..) 'Assigned' Someone is working on it (either fixing code or trying to reproduce, etc.) 'Analyzed' Real Bug (tm) (someone has confirmed that bug actually exists) 'Suspended' The bug is analyzed and the fix is something that isn't in our hands but might get fixed eventually (third party software?), or the fix is going to be in the next _major_ version of PHP or the fix needs something else to be fixed first. 'Feedback' Waiting for user feedback (e.g. more info)
