Is it normal that $_SESSION is not set by default ? I thought it would be initialized like $_GET or $_POST... ref : 4.1.0RC3*** Try this : <?php session_start(); if (!session_is_registered("count"))
session_register("count");
++$count;
echo "<p>$count visits.</p>";
?>
Then call the script a few times : it's OK.
Then call it with params : ?_SESSION[count]=1234
It's still OK : EGPCS works fine.
finally try with param : ?_SESSION=1
Session is lost.
