Hello All, Well, my tenure as the Zend weekly summary editor has ended and I now have a much better idea of the effort required to do the various mailing list summaries. It looks like I should be able to (more or less :) handle at least one list. I am starting with a simple commented version of the daily CVS changelog. The comments will add a bit of detail to the change messages, sometimes noting why changes were made, what they are likely to affect and what (IMHO) we should watch for the upcoming RCs. As always, comments, questions and suggestions are welcome! --zak ========== +2001-12-29 Derick Rethans <d.rethans@jdimedia.nl> + + * ext/standard/basic_functions.c + ext/standard/basic_functions.h: - Removed is_array_multidimensional After some discussion on the dev mailing list the is_array_multidimensional() function was removed shortly after being added. The decision to remove the function was based on the idea that PHP does not handle/treat multi-dimensional arrays differently than any other kind of array (and that no one could thing of a good use for the function :) See http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?t=100966017500001&r=1&w=2 for details + * ext/standard/tests/array/count_recursive.phpt: + - Added test for recursive counting + + * ext/standard/array.c + ext/standard/basic_functions.c + ext/standard/basic_functions.h: + - Added extra parameter to count() that recursively counts elements + in an array and added is_array_multidimensional(). (patch by Vlad + Bosinceanu <glipy@fx.ro>) Derick was good enough to add in tests to help ensure that the modifications to count() performed as expected. We should still try to keep an eye on count during the next few RCs, but the tests should make everything easier. :) +2001-12-29 Andi Gutmans <andi@zend.com> + + * ext/standard/array.c: + Fix bug in krsort() where an extra character was being compared + - Fix bug in krsort() where an extra character was being compared + (Andi) The patch also appears to affect ksort(). We should test both functions in the upcoming RCs. + * ext/xml/xml.c: + - Fix bug in XML extension which exists due to a not perfect work + around with ZE1. In ZE2 the correct code seems to work well. + +2001-12-29 Sebastian Bergmann <sb@sebastian-bergmann.de> + + * ext/standard/credits.c + ext/standard/info.c: + PHP 4.0 -> PHP 4. Patch by Martin Jansen <mail@martin-jansen.de>. + +2001-12-29 Georg Richter <georg.richter@phpev.de> + + * ext/ncurses/ncurses.c + ext/ncurses/ncurses_fe.c + ext/ncurses/ncurses_functions.c + ext/ncurses/php_ncurses_fe.h: + 1) fixed bugs in soft label key functions + 2) insert new slk-functions + 3) defined new key-constants The ncurses extension is fairly new, and currently has no tests in the test suite. We should probably talk to Hartmut and Georg about getting some help getting tests going for the extension. +2001-12-29 Stig Bakken <ssb@fast.no> + + * pear/DB/common.php: * added grouping parameter to getAssoc + + * pear/Makefile.in: * install PEAR/Dependency.php Do we want to try and tackle PEAR QA. I feel that we should leave this til we get better at handling the main PHP QA... +2001-12-29 Vlad Krupin <phpdevel@echospace.com> + + * ext/pspell/pspell.c: + fixed bug preventing pspell from building when pspell header files + are located in an unusual (e.g. /usr/local/include/pspell) + location. Another minor issue to watch for the upcoming RC.
