I don't know if you guys ever noticed, but while converting and testing I found out the the FTP extension still has some quirks. For exmaple, listing the root directory of the remote ftp server with '/' sometimes doesn't work, or you need multiple slashes like '//'. I also expirienced a complete hang when putting files to the remote server. I only could verify the hang vom linux to linux box when the file was already PUT but the extension was waiting for an answer. The hang usually always takes 90 seconds because of the default timeout. The good news now is you can alter this timeout to one second and the thing gets less worse ... but doesn't solve the original problem. Well, I didn't expirienced those things from win32 to the same linux ftp server ... I'm investigating this myself too, but other testers are always a good idea. - Markus ps: Zak, you're summaries are really a great thing! -- Please always Cc to me when replying to me on the lists.
