vmare actually is a tough thing, but it´s not free, unfortunately Richard Lynch wrote:
It might be good to have VMWare or Vine or whatever that thing is, and run tiny servers with their own "root" access so QAers can "reboot" their system and install/uninstall to their heart's content?... I'll set up our DNS for PHP-QA.dkt.com I'll give you FTP access to this root with permission to create subdirectories. Different testers using our platform could create folders for their test areas
e.g. my Test URL would be PHP-QA.dkt.com/Cohodas
The extension for invoking the PHP4.0.2 version will be
    ISAPI - .PHP-402i
      CGI - .PHP-402c
When binaries need replacing or the .ini file is changed and the server needs to be stopped and restarted, I'll do that via E-Mail request. I'm open to other ideas. E.g. make each test folder it's own root, and/or give each tester their own FTP account. Howard A. Cohodas Design Knowledge Technologies Inc. Hi Howard, Thanks! I will add this information to the QAT website. AFAIK there are still some outstanding bugs that involve the Website Pro server - this should be quite helpful in getting them closed. How would you like to transfer the account information? Is email secure enough for you? If so, please mail me the information off list. If not, let me know what you would like to do. Does anyone have any thought on how we should manage the test account information? I would suggest that we have a single person who manages the information and that it is given to QA team members as needed - preferable only to a single member at a time.
