I haven't dug into this, but... Isn't it the case that if you send a Cookie header and a Location header, the browser may act on the Location before the Cookie, and then never process the cookie in the first place?... If so, and if they are relying on Cookies to propogate sessions, aren't the Location headers going to break that on some browsers?...

No. I've just seen enough complaints about not saving session vars with redirection.
That's because people forget to embed SID into their URLs.
     That does not happen automatically.
That "issue" is completely unrelated to this bug report.
There are some cases that you mentioned. And I don't really understand bug #8744 ;) If your previous comment is right, it should be titled such as "MySQL module tries to allocate too much memmory" or something like this. Anyway, I saw a comment that explict session_write_close() before header() solved the problem. It sounds like php is crashing at shutdown (or something wrong at shutdown at least). I've asked the reporter to see if he gets segfault or not. -- Yasuo Ohgaki -- PHP Quality Assurance Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
