If you're refering to 'resolv.h' pre-requisite compilation problems, that's actually a bug in in automake 1.6 or libtool 1.4e (CVS) - not sure which yet. The triplet: Autoconf 2.53 Automake 1.6 Libtool 1.4e Gives me the exact same problems and php doesn't compile. More on that later, if you're interested.
