Hello. After several attempts at compiling php (4.0.6 and 4.1.2) I finally got 4.1.2 to compile on AIX. I am trying to build 4.2.0 now and ran into some build errors (which I have submitted). Please note: I am not using gcc, so the errors I am finding are quite specific to IBM and AIX. However, it has been my experience (over the years) that IBM compilers are quite strict and the messages, generally warnings, may point to potential weaknesses in the code. I have not been able to compile a seperate (executable) php, only the shared library (libphp4.so), and it is working. If you want to look at it (phpinfo(), the url is http://felt-1.demon.nl/michael/php/hello.php). I am willing to run tests, and if we can exchange identities (so I have some idea of who you are) I am willing to create a user account for you to upload tests (if you prefer that to my running them for you). The login would need to be via ssh. regards, Michael Felt
