As part of our QA efforts for release 4.0.2 can I suggest that we get the
excellent work of Andreas Otto and Daniel Beulshausen - in the form of their
compiled php extension dlls - incorporated into the main release. This
should save hundreds of 'where do I get...' messages on the lists, and will
make the WIndows release feel much more like a complete product.
According to the php.ini file, this should be the full set of extension
dlls.
php_mysql.dll
php_nsmail.dll
php_calendar.dll
php_dbase.dll
php_filepro.dll
php_gd.dll
php_dbm.dll
php_mssql.dll
php_zlib.dll
php_filepro.dll
php_imap4r2.dll
php_ldap.dll
php_crypt.dll
php_msql2.dll
php_odbc.dll
Since the mysql support is now built in (and I think ODBC is as well?)
perhaps we could get the ini file changed not to mention those dlls - since
there are often questions to the list about 'where do I get
php_mysql.dll'.
Perhaps if Andreas could tell us the complete list of DLLs he has available,
we could put out an appeal for the remainder in order to work towards
including a complete set. I think this would go a long way towards
increasing the credibility of (which is already high!) on the Windows
platform.
Cheers
