What I don't get is that pg_result has been renamed to pg_fetch_result, while there is mysql_result. Does that mean we get mysql_fetch_result and mysql_result will be deprecated?Actually - the more I think about this, the more I think this is a bad choice. The other (mysql|pg)_fetch_* functions can be called in a while loop, without specifying a row, or field. (mysql|pg)_result differs from this, as it doesn't fetch an entire result, but just 1 part of the result and only the value part. If any new name is appropreate it would be (mysql|pg)_named_value as the 'fetch' is associated with autoincrementing the row pointer. Any thoughts on this?
