Hi Q&A list,
Thanks to Russ I've found out the this was causes due the
settting
extension_dir = ./
in his php.ini
Looks at the stable source archives from 4.0.6 to current, it
is written this way (enabled, not commented out or so) in
php.ini-recommended and php.ini-distributed. Before I start
digging my head any further into this, any idea *why* this
directive is there and written this way ? It doesn't look
right to me at a first glance.
If you leave out extension_dir, it defaults to the
compiele/build time directory which is
<prefix>/lib/extension/... which is where further extension
get installed if you use phpize on them.
Any hints?
