Hi,
there's an error in the testscripts for PEAR. It will only test correctly if you've
installed it, not before, since the include path isn't set correctly:
Running tests in /chroot/home/mdev/php-4.2.1RC2//pear/DB/tests/driver

/chroot/home/mdev/php-4.2.1RC2/pear/DB/tests/driver/skipif.inc(9) : Fatal error - Failed opening required 'DB.php' (include_path='.:/home/mdev/local/lib/php')
Maybe the CLI sapi needs a 'testmode', where certain PHP_ constants are set to their compilation
environment, rather than the install environment? This would simplify things greatly.
