Indeed the return code would be expected to be compliant with POSIX standards, 0 for success, 1-254
for an error.

In general, you do not know the return code for any application. It does not exist standarts for the
return code. The only sure way is the documentation of the app.

I don t know :). The only return code I use (and the only documented return code) is with the
"php -l myscript.php"
