Melvin Thanks, Actually I was thinking the same thing you have said. Since I am very new to unix env. I followed a documentation when I am installing all those with the idea that I was installing php as a dynamic module to Apache. that's why I never thought of it before. And obviously my lack of necessary knowledge stops me seeing the error even if I am looking right at it. I cleaned everything and did the installations the way they were supposed to be!
