Good afternoon, I'm running through tests that are failing on Mac OS X. I'm attempting to differentiate the tests failing due to actual bugs in PHP and tests failing due to bugs in the tests. One test is failing with the following symptoms according to diff: 014+ string(19) "Unknown error: -999" 014- string(%d) "Unknown error: %d" I don't see why this test is failing, the output is in an --EXPECTF-- as it should, so the sscanf should be doing the proper substitution. But its not for some reason. Any ideas what I'm missing? As a side note, changing the expected output to the following allows the test to pass: string(%d) "Unknown error: -999" And in truth the above is probably a more proper version of the test as the -999 is being explicitly passed in as the parameter and should be the returned error number. But it still doesn't explain why the %d with -999 is failing the test. Eric Stewart e.stewart@mac.com
