Hi Eric,
The --SKIPIF-- processor simply checks for output. Thus, to the actual
run-tests.php, echo "skip whatever"; is exactly equivalent to die("skip
whatever");
In other words, both methods work perfectly for skipping when executed
via run-tests, the difference is in running the test via "php blah.phpt".
