Hello everyone,
I'm working on the next version of the VM which is being designed to
simplify VM setup and usage. One of the main features will be an enabled
OpenSSH server installed on the VM and different networking settings which
will allow you to access network based services. This will allow you to boot
up the VM and minimize it's window. Then fire up a terminal (on Macs, Linux
and Unix machines) or putty.exe on Windows machines to work with the server.
This will provide the following advantages:
1. No need to reconfigure the window resolution in the VM.
2. No need to setup the VM shared folder each time you boot the VM, as you
will be able to simply scp files to and from the host and guest.
3. You'll be able to copy and paste commands (big plus here!).
I'm also working on a more simplistic version of the VM documentation. I
want to remove the need for the VM-Support files and provide the
documentation online. The question is where do I put it? I certainly don't
mind hosting it on one of my sites. But this might be something that people
would like to have on the wiki or the QA site. Any thoughts?
