Hey there, just tried to upgrade my 5.3.3RC1 to RC3 and experienced some things I've never seen up until now with any RC. This is a 32bit Gentoo vserver with 256MB RAM free -m showed ~176 free with no buffers, I've been able to build several other versions here with no problems, the make of this RC ran out of memory - but this could be coincidence. Just copied over my config.nice from the last build [1] Then after a pecl install apc (it fetched 3.0.19) I got a /tmp/pear/temp/APC/php_apc.c:959: error: duplicate ‘static’ this worked with RC1 - but just copying over the old apc.so seemed to work. After all this, the website is running as usual and I can't spot any differences. Oh, and this I got on this box and on another jaunty system as well: [2] In function ‘memset’, inlined from ‘exprDup’ at /home/florian/tmp/php-5.3.3RC1/ext/sqlite3/libsqlite/sqlite3.c:62147: /usr/include/bits/string3.h:82: warning: call to ‘__warn_memset_zero_len’ declared with attribute warning: memset used with constant zero length parameter; this could be due to transposed parameters [1] http://stuff.art-core.org/temp/rc3-config.nice [2] http://stuff.art-core.org/temp/rc3-config.log Any hints or "ignore, it's fine" would be appreciated. Greetings, Florian
