Hi
You are receiving this email because your project has been selected to
take part in an effort by the PHP QA Team to make sure that your
project still works with PHP versions to-be-released. With this we hope
to make sure that you are either aware of things that might break, or
to make sure we don't introduce any strange regressions. Please help us
to release a stable PHP version.
Following the 14 days cycle, we release PHP 5.0.4RC6 and today.
After six releases, the RC phase is reaching it's end. If we do not
encounter any critical bugs, then the RC6 will be tagged as the
final 5.4.0 version. Please use the next two weeks to extensively
test this release candidate.
The packages can be downloaded from:
http://qa.php.net/
The Windows binaries will be available within the next hours at
http://windows.php.net/qa/
PHP 5.4.0 will be our next upcoming major release. It includes a lot of
new features. The trait code received some updates. Please test traits
carefully so we can make sure they are stable for the final release!
For a list of new features and bugfixes that you can target in your
testing, please refer to the NEWS file:
http://svn.php.net/viewvc/php/php-src/tags/php_5_4_0RC6/NEWS?view=markup
The final version will hopefully be released on Feb 2.
Regards,
Stas and David
