"make test" broken?

I just downloaded the PHP 4.3.0RC3 tarball and built it on Linux.
Upon either "make test" or "php run-tests.php" I get nothing, it just
hangs until I press CTRL+C.
Output Buffering Issue? Something Else? Any idea?
