php -r '$a = array(true => "foo"); reset($a); var_dump(key($a));' if booleans where supported as array-keys this would give "bool(true)" but it gives "int(1)".php -r '$a = array(true => "foo"); reset($a); var_dump(key($a)); var_dump($a[true]);' It doesnt matter how php internally handles this. It doesnt say anywhere that using booleans as array keys (here it still doenst matter how it is treated internally) is deprecated or unsupported (quite the opposite with the manual quote i supplied).
