There must be something else in one of your includes. You'll typically get this error you've already sent output (i.e. text) to the browser and then try calling one of the header() functions. If you simply want to redirect you could throw a meta refresh tag in your header... ~Cameron On Nov 24, 2006, at 7:07 AM, João Cândido de Souza Neto wrote:

I am working with smarty and in my system i have got a lot of includes. In one of these includes, somtimes i must do header("Location: some_page.php") but when i try to do it i get the follow error: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/www2.superbanco.com.br/html/index.php:1) in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/www2.superbanco.com.br/html/modules/loja/identificacao.php on line 15 My question is, can i avoid this error? If so, how?
I guess, remove the BOM or whatever you have before the first opening <?php-tag in your index.php. This question is more appropiate in php-general, BTW.
