hi, I started playing around with soap on friday - and posted a few patches to pear-dev (before realizing soap had it's own list..
(actually I was thinking of a gtk client for my new framework - couldnt face yet another html form website management system..)
heres the post of the fixes that add dl() module support for the soap extension.
http://lists.php.net/article.php?group=php.pear.dev&article=8460
I finally got it to work at home, heres a good client test example - It's always good to get to that point that you feel you've acheived something :)
<?php
//simple example to check soap extension client is working..
dl('soap.so');
print "create client\n";
$soapclient = new SoapObject("http://services.xmethods.net/soap/urn:xmethods-delayed-quotes.wsdl");
print_r($soapclient);
echo "sending getquote\n";
$ret = $soapclient->getQuote("ibm");
print_r($ret);
print "\ndone\n\n";
?>
I'm still playing with the server side stuff .
would anyone mind if I started adding stuff like copyright headers ??? - I'm guessing the standard PHP4 headers????
Whats happening with the website/manual?...
- the pear soap extension has a few examples, documentenation etc. - is that in docbook...?
is it worth moving to the pear manual?
heh just a few questions :)
regards
