Good performance. I've got about 30 clients requesting data from a
server I have via SOAP. The server runs Apache 2.0.43, PHP 4.3.2 and
PostgreSQL 7.3. Each client makes a request about every 5 seconds (6
requests per second). Each request involves some database query, the most
common request queries a view that is a join of three tables. The machine
is a RH73 base, with local compile of libxml2, libpng, zlib, openssl and the
above mentioned software. Hardware is an AMD K62/500 with 256MB RAM and a
pokey 4Gb IDE drive. The loadavg is 1.65 1.76 1.57, which is a little (a
lot) too high, but this machine also does some big filesharing for my
windows network too so Samba is always busy :( The SOAP clients never have
a problem connecting or executing their requests
/B
