registering methods in SOAP_Server

Regarding PEAR::SOAP: Do I understand the examples correctly (reading the code is a pain) that it's only possible to register objects at the server that either implement the soap server's methods or has a __dispatch() method? And do I further understand correctly that I _have_ to use the dispatcher if some of my soap method names are reserved words in PHP so that I can't create a class with such method names?
