As PHP 7 is around the corner, we thought it would be good to update the PHP specification as appropriate to reflect the updates and new features. We have Rex Jaeschke (who wrote the original PHP spec) available to make the additions and modifications. 1. Anyone have any objection to Rex doing this work? 2. As far as approach, we can go in a couple of directions here: (1) We can create a new PHP 7 branch off of master at https://github.com/php/php-langspec and Rex can either send pull requests to that branch or, if desired, we can give direct commit access. (2) We can do pull requests / commits directly onto master. Any preference on approach here? Regards, Joel Marcey
