I have a problem where I have a search form that I've set up to display only the first 20 records, the next 20 records and so on. After first completing it, it was working fine and then I realized however, that the second and following displays of records lost the search information from the original form thus it was as if the option was select *, so I created a small form to pass the original search information in hidden variables to each page and if you click Next it is a form submission button that sends that hidden info to the next results display page. (Oh yeah it cross searches amongst 4-6 tables if that helps as well). Now when I debug the page and have it display all the information of the variables just before it goes to the mysql query it is the same for the first page as it is for the second page except the variable I've set for LIMIT (mysql should support this) will report back with the correct numbers. However when that same query is run again to get those records it reports that there were no more records. It didn't do this before the form passed the search information to each page. I'm not sure why it's doing it now. I tried using the free_result function and it still returns O records. I am using mysql_fetch_object as the display portion of the record is using a include script. Can any one help with a suggestion? Or at least tell me the proper way to pose this question to the group. I need to get this last bug working (been fighting with it for 3 days now) as I have a very serious potential client that is thinking of hiring me but needs to see some of my work. This site completely works except for this bug and I've ran out of ideas of what it can be. Thanks ___________ Jason Carlson jay1@swift-web.com
