Oops... After playing a little bit with it, I come with the conclusion
that on my system, get_cfg_var doesn't work at all... Or at least my
examples do not work as expected :
<?php
echo "a___".get_cfg_var("sendmail_path")."___<BR>\n";
echo "b___".get_cfg_var("include_path")."___<BR>\n";
echo "c___".get_cfg_var("magic_quotes_gpc")."___<BR>\n";
echo "d___".get_magic_quotes_gpc()."___<BR>\n";
phpinfo();
?>
Produces :
----------------------------------------------------------------------
a______
b______
c______
d___1___
[... cut ...]
Directive local master
magic_quotes_gpc On On
sendmail_path /usr/lib/sendmail -t /usr/lib/sendmail -t
include_path BLAH4 no value
----------------------------------------------------------------------
System : Linux + Apache 1.3.11 + PHP4B3 (.php4) + PHP3.0.14 (.php3)
as apache's modules.
It does not work with php3 neither with php4b3 on my system... I must
be missing something obvious. Any idea ?
