we have encountered a problem with beta4 when stored procedures are executed
from php beta4(pl1).. we think it has to do with OCIBindByName..
when we call normal sql statements, the pages load fine.. but with stored
procedures, apache segfaults, and we get a document contains no data message
from the browser..
we also had this problem on a snapshot release after beta3..
with beta3, we do not have this problem..
quick snippet example:
$contact_select_cursor = OCINewCursor($conn);
$contact_select_query = "begin sch.red_select_contact('$where_open',
'$table_order_col', '$table_order_dir', :contact_cursor); end;";
$contact_select_action = OCIParse($conn, $contact_select_query);
OCIBindByName($contact_select_action, "contact_cursor",
&$contact_select_cursor, -1,OCI_B_CURSOR);
error_log("cornerstone1");
OCIExecute($contact_select_action);
error_log("cornerstone2");
OCIExecute($contact_select_cursor);
error_log("cornerstone3");
in error log we get:
[error] cornerstone1
[notice] child pid 2481 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
(redhat 6.1 / oracle 8.0.5(with glibcpatch) client / apache 1.3.11)
update: we have also tried a stored procedure with bindbyname and without a
cursor.. maybe the problem lies with the cursor, and not with bindbyname..
