Suddenly when trying the absolute latest CVS w/ Thies'
patch for configuration-parser.y, httpd can't handle
SIGUSR1 any more. Instead of restarting gracefully
(apachectl graceful) the root-httpd process exits,
leaving its' orphaned children.
It appears that upon receiving SIGUSR1, httpd starts
rereading it's configuration files and then exits.
Error log report below:
Below are:
1) error_log output from the incident
2) the last few lines from "strace", attached
to the root httpd process when it receives SIGUSR1.
Perhaps this has nothing to do with PHP?
I was always able to use "apachectl graceful" before
going from apache-1.3.9/PHP-4.0b2 to apache-1.3.11/PHP-4.0b4+
