I didn't suggest registering all $HTTP_*_VARS just $HTTP_STATE_VARS.
Sorry for the confusion. : ) Basically what I was suggesting would do the
following if register_global = off and track_vars = on the ini file.
NOW:
<?php
session_register('count');
$HTTP_STATE_VARS['count'] = 1;
?>
SUGGESTED:
<?php
$HTTP_STATE_VARS['count'] = 1;
?>
