Found out something funny:
Performing HEAD requests to the image URLs displayed by phpinfo()
results in nothing what so ever, while a GET works fine. In the error
log, I have corresponding lines like:
no acceptable variant: ...../phpinfo
Turning off multiviews i Apache "cures" the problem that I see with
phpinfo() logos not displaying at first.
