Excuse me if this is covered in a FAQ somewhere (please let me know where to look). I'm trying to build Apache 1.3.12 with php-4.0b4pl1 an an older Free BSD (2.2.2) system, with gcc 2.7.2.1 I followed the instructions (which were familiar to me, having built php3 many times), and on the final Apache make, I'l seeing the errors; dl.c:107: Undefined symbol `_DL_LOAD' referenced from text segment dl.c:123: Undefined symbol `_DL_FETCH_SYMBOL' referenced from text segment dl.c:126: Undefined symbol `_DL_UNLOAD' referenced from text segment dl.c:136: Undefined symbol `_DL_UNLOAD' referenced from text segment dl.c:146: Undefined symbol `_DL_UNLOAD' referenced from text segment I believe these were related to the part of the php build: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/com/php-4.0b4pl1/ext/standard -I../.. -I../../Zend -I/com/php-4.0b4pl1 -I/com/apache_1.3.12/src/includeo dl.c: In function `php_dl': dl.c:107: warning: implicit declaration of function `DL_LOAD' dl.c:107: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast dl.c:123: warning: implicit declaration of function `DL_FETCH_SYMBOL' dl.c:126: warning: implicit declaration of function `DL_UNLOAD' Is this a result of my older OS version, or just something stupid on my part. Also, I see that gd is apparently included in php4 -- I've been using the 1.3 version so I can create gif files - can this be used with the php4? thanks
