Checked out PHP 4 a couple of hours ago.
Using it on an Intel-based Red Hat 6.1 system.
phpinfo() problem:
Logos on a page generated by phpinfo() are still buggy: If Apache's
multiviews option is turned on and the page serving the phpinfo() is
presented via the multiviews system (e.g., in a language negotiation
setting), then the logos are displayed as "broken link" images in the
browser. Corresponding lines in Apache's error log:
no acceptable variant: /home/groups/web/people/troels/phpinfo
(The actual file containing the call to phpinfo() is phpinfo.php.)
Java problems:
I can't get the configure script to recognize that a JDK+JRE is present
(keep getting "checking for Java support... no"). I have tried adjusting
my PATH, my CLASSPATH, symbolic links, etc., but nothing seems to work.
I have tried both Blackdown's Java and IBM's SDK/JRE (RPM) packages.
