Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have followed the php manual on where to copy the c-client files to from
IMAP 4.7. All three are where the configure script expects, along with the link
from libc-client.a to c-client.a
This is on a new linux RH6.1 with all updates applied and the apache 1.3.12 +
mod_ssl 2.6.2. I have gone through this list and eliminated each one until I
came to the trouble causer. My config looks like
./configure \
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd \
--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \
--enable-versioning \
--enable-track-vars \
--with-mysql \
--enable-inline-optimization \
--with-gettext=/usr/share/gettext \
--with-ftp \
--with-gettext=/usr/share/gettext \
--with-mod_charset \
--enable-trans-sid \
--with-zlib \
--with-pgsql=/usr/include/pgsql \
--with-ttf=/usr \
--with-imap=/usr
All of the above goes without a hitch - no errors.
Then we do a make and it doesn't seem to like IMAP, here is the make imap
section. Notice the two warnings.
Making all in imap
make[2]: Entering directory `/root/tar/php-4.0b4pl1/ext/imap'

I also get a bunch of seemingly unrelated warnings from the zend scanner. Her
those are:
../../../php4/ext/standard/url_scanner.re: In function `url_scanner':
.../../../php4/ext/standard/url_scanner.re:154: warning: unused variable `yyaccept'

Then at the end of make I get this in reference to c-client
*** Warning: This library needs some functionality provided by -lc-client.
*** I have the capability to make that library automatically link in when
*** you link to this library. But I can only do this if you have a
*** shared version of the library, which you do not appear to have.

*** The inter-library dependencies that have been dropped here will be

The manual doesn't say anything about a shared version of the c-client
libraries. I couldn't find anything in IMAP4.7 that referred to it either.
Pear completes and I can start httpd with mod_php4. I neead the
imap for imp but it doeasn't work and until I get this figured out it seems
useless to bang on imp.
Again, any help is most appreciated.
