Hi Michael,
Which version of iODBC are you using, as there are several out there.
Also, you will need a driver as well, to connect to Oracle, etc. Feel free
to download the driver and components from www.openlinksw.com. They come
with a 2 usr:10 connection license for free. You may wish to recompile
php --with-openlink=path/to/openlink as well, as this will give you the
exact version of iODBC that ships with our drivers.
Best regards,
Andrew

./configure --with-iodbc --with-mysql --with-apache=../apach_1.3.12 --enable
-track-vars
Hi,
I am following the instructions below on Redhat 6.0.
QUICK INSTALL (Static)
$ gunzip -c apache_1.3.12.tar.gz | tar xf -
$ cd apache_1.3.12
$ ./configure
$ cd ..
$ gunzip -c php-4.0.x.tar.gz | tar xf -
$ cd php4-200003290545
$
./configure --with-iodbc --with-mysql --with-apache=../apach_1.3.12 --enable
-track-vars
$ make
$ make install
$ cd ../apache_1.3.12
$ ./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
$ make
After make I receive this error. When I compile without --with-iodbc
everything is follows through (even though there a numerous warnings
throughout) PHP4 is usable and access to MySQL is there. I can provide the
entire installation log if necessary-- below is the error.
util_uri.c: In function `ap_parse_uri_components':

By the way I am not clear about all that is needed for ODBC to work. I have
iodbc installed however. This is simply a driver manager. I am not sure how
to obtain/install drivers to connect to an Oracle database on NT box via
ODBC connection. As always you guys' help is greatly appreciated.
thanks!michael
