Blue screens aren't related to any application; They're always an operating system bug (only kernel/drivers are supposed to be able to messup bad enough to cause a blue screen; If you get a bluescreen from a faulty application, it means the OS is faulty). Just don't have endless loops :) Zeev At 00:49 30/03/2000 , Stefan Negele wrote:

I had a zombie loop in one of my php scripts which sooner or later ended in a blue screen. Here's a dummy version: ------------------- test.php <?php while (true) { $i=1; }; ?> ------------------ After accessing this page the browser obviously timed out. The php task was still running 100% cpu load. I tried to kill the task, but it wouldnt let me since I didnt have the rights to do so. I get a blue Screen when I stop the apache server service. I had to do that since I hoped that would end the php task. I should probably contact some Apache cracks since it doesn't really seem to be a PHP4 Problem, but I thought someone out there might be interested. my work around would be an Apache service that runs under my user account, which allows me to kill the php4 zombie.
