Just to re-enforce. I have same exact problem. I've had no trouble with any of the previous versions. My configure has only Mysql and Apache in it. If it helps I'm running Solaris 2.7 and Apache 1.3.11. I would really like to look at the Zend Opt that just got released for Solaris but it requires RC1. tks in advance. ----- Original Message ----- From: jean-hugues bogaert To: php4beta@lists.php.net Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2000 12:32 PM Subject: [PHP4BETA] php-4.0RC1 compile error in basic_functions.c hi there, compiled with options as follows, ./configure --enable-xml --enable-track-vars --disable-debug --with-gd=.. /gd-1.8/ --with-iodbc=../libiodbc-2.50.3/ --with-mysql=../mysql-3.22.27/ --with- apxs=/home/local/apache_1.3.12/bin/apxs --with-zlib=../zlib-1.1.3/ --with-pdflib =../pdflib-2.01/ --with-sybase=../sybase/ then make, and ... /bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/home/lo cal/src/php-4.0RC1/ext/standard -I../.. -I../../Zend -I/home/local/src/php-4.0RC 1 -I/home/local/apache_1.3.12/include -I/home/local/src/gd-1.8 -I/home/local/src /mysql-3.22.27/include -I/home/local/src/libiodbc-2.50.3/include -I/home/local/s rc/sybase/include -I/home/local/src/php-4.0RC1/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/home/loca l/src/php-4.0RC1/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -D_REENTRANT -g -O2 -c basic_functions.c basic_functions.c:324: `php_if_dl' undeclared here (not in a function) basic_functions.c:324: initializer element for `basic_functions[201].handler' is not constant make[3]: *** [basic_functions.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/php-4.0RC1/ext/standard' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/php-4.0RC1/ext/standard' make[1]: *** [all] Error 1 any help?
