hi all,
i just want to tell you that i have succefully installed php4RC1 on my linux

Linux Mandrake 7v2 kernel 2.2.14-15mdk
Postgresql 6.5.2 rpm binaries
Sun JDK 1.2.2
apache 1.3.12
Apache Jserv 1.1

php 4RC1
Configure command :
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --with-pgsql=/usr/inclide/pgsql
--enable-memory-limit=no --enable-debug=no --enable-track-vars
--enable-magic-quotes --enable-bcmath --with-ftp --with-gd --with-ttf
--with-t1lib --with-pdflib=/usr/local/pdflib --with-zlib=/usr/include
--with_jpeg-dir=/usr/include --with-tiff-dir=/usr/include --with-gnu-ld
--enable-inline-optimization
seems to have compiled mysql support by default, i don't want it
there was some compilation problem due to libraries path that was incorrect ...
but i can say it is quite simple to install php4rc1 with some little efforts (
like reading docs .... we don't say it enough for the newbies PLEASE READ THE
DOCS OF THE SOFWARES YOU WANT TO INSTALL)
i have put some web sites using php3 of my prod server on this new one, all
seems to be ok
i will test it in details for 1 or 2 days and if there is no serious problem,
this will be my prod server.
I want to thanks all the developpers of PHP scripting language, and all the
contributors. You have made a great work !
Thanks a lot !
